Mark Hirsch // Muon g-2 @ Fermilab

concept sketch from my artist residency at Fermilab. This project is based on the design of the Muon g-2 experiment in which 24 calorimeter detectors are used to measure positrons from the decaying muons inside a 50-foot diameter electromagnetic storage ring with a uniform magnetic field.

Next Steps: linking particle behavior in the visualization to real experimental data from the calorimeter and tracking detectors.
